Flower Day - Save the date - Monday May 31st 2021

As far as we know  Flower Day 2021 will be a first for the Churchyard and Brixham.  It’s being planned for Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday May 31st 2021. That coincides with Brixham Heritage Festival of which it might become part.

Events and activities for the day, which will likely run from 10:00 until 16:00 are still making their way to the drawing board. If you have suggestions they’ll be most welcome or if you would like to be kept up to date with things please let us know.

We’d expect to have a full programme by the end of January 2021

Yes please, I’d like to be kept up to date  - Please enter your details in the form.

What is a Flower Day?

People seem to like the idea but maybe not know how we see it.

It’s an idea picked up in Newfoundland, Canada. Once every year families gather and, after a service, go to the Churchyard and tend family graves and lay flowers..  It’s a good opportunity to meet friends, neighbours and more distant relatives who maybe haven’t been seen since the last time. It helps keep memories and community alive.
